EA Buys Stake in The9, WoW in China

Electronic Arts announced that they have purchased a 19% stake in The9 late last week. The9 is a Chinese online game company that currently publishes World of Warcraft, among others, in that country. Chinese law forbids foreign owned businesses from running online content directly in China, which puts companies like The9 at the forefront of a potential goldmine as the market continues to move East.
