Webzen's S.U.N. Hits 350k Concurrent in China
Chinese MMO operator The9 has announced that S.U.N. (Soul of the Ultimate Nation) has hit 350,000 concurrent users just after it hit open beta. They intend to operate the game as a free-to-play, micropayment game in that country. This game was developed by Webzen and is on the way, eventually, to the North American market.
The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) recorded 350,000 peak concurrent users for its newly launched online game Soul of the Ultimate Nation (SUN) on April 18. The9 started open beta testing for the game on April 18 and added four new server groups on April 19. Currently The9 has four server farms totaling 32 server groups. The9 licensed SUN from Korea's Webzen and plans to operate the game as a free to play game.
