Warhammer Online: Warhammer on WarCry Announces 2 New Contests!

We here at Warhammer WarCry have decided to kick off May with a BANG! We have a lot to celebrate, as we have updated our WAR site and can now boast that we have every screenshot, concept art, fan art, map, and video podcast that Mythic has ever released in a newsletter! Our forums grow daily, and are really starting to take off. We plan on rolling out a few new columns within the next few weeks, including "A Noob's Guide to Warhammer Lore", a new fan fiction section, just to name a few. It's an exciting time here at WarCry and we thought we should go ahead and kick it up another notch! I have one word for you "CONTESTS"! So if you are interested in winning cool Warhammer stuff, read on!

As I uploaded all the great fan art from the monthly newsletters, it started me thinking. I am an art junky, and while I have no art ability at all, I just loved the great fan art sent to Mythic. However there just wasn't enough to satisfy me, so we will be having a fan art contest!

What's that? You don't have any art skills either? Well, I feel your pain. It just so happens as that I was uploading all that great art, I realized we were missing something. Fan fiction! What's a Warhammer Online site without Warhammer fan fiction? Between the two different contests, everyone that wants to will be able to enter! So let us get to the details!

Contest 1:
This is the fan art contest. You may submit any original art that takes places in the Warhammer Fantasy world. By original, I mean that you must have created the piece yourself. The format is completely open, feel free to use pencil, ink, paint, 3D imaging, or any other way you can think of.

Contest 2:
This is the fan fiction contest. You may submit any original short story that takes place in the Warhammer Fantasy world. By original, I mean that you must have written the piece yourself. The story should be no more than 2000 words.

Prizes:
The winner of the Art contest will win the newly released Hardback book, "The Art of Warhammer"!
The winner of the Short Story contest will win a new Hardback book "Riders of The Dead!"

How the winners will be decided:
All entries must be submitted by May 31st. We will then hold a vote in our forums where everyone can help pick a winner. Whoever gets the most votes in each contest wins. You may enter as many times as you like, and you may enter both contests if you want to. However you can only win one. So if somehow you win both contests, you can pick which one you want the prize for, and the other prize will go to whoever is second in the other contest.

How to Enter:
Email all entries to mattlow@warcry.com with either "Warhammer art" or "Warhammer fiction" in the subject header. Again you may enter as many times as you like.
