Tabula Rasa: The WarCry Research Group Tackles Symbols From "The Benefactor Stone"

To fight the Bane, mankind needs every advantage it can gain. Part of that is an understanding of Logos, the unifying language of men. This pictorial language replaces words of all languages with simple symbols and is meant to transcend cultures and allow people to communicate effectively.

What is more, to gain the strength to fight the Bane, soldiers must be of sound mind. Part of that quest involves discovering the secrets of Logos. The Benefactor Project is a quest to unearth the first of what we can only assume are many messages in this most sacred of languages.

Linguists here at The WarCry Research Group have joined our comrades around the world to attack this project and help future combatants gain a greater understanding of decode ""The Benefactor Stone". Whoever does it, will be greatly rewarded, we have no doubt.

In particular, two of the symbols drew the attention of our talented team of linguists. Max Steele, known for his work in Ancient Fantasy Languages, directed The WarCry Research Group team to focus on two particular symbols. They are:

After weeks of research, cross referencing and careful though, The WarCry Research Group is prepared to announce the translations of these two symbols, which we hope will lead someone to finally crack "The Benefactor Stone".

The first symbol shows two fractured halves of a box, in chaos around a central point. Yet, at the same time they shield that central truth from the outside. This seemingly chaotic symbol can be none other than the symbol for "Question".

The second symbol was at first mis-categorized by a particularly mathematical linguist as "equals more than". Researcher Butts was ejected from the project for her errors and heretical beliefs (a variable unrelated to this project). In reality, the two halves work together to form a greater meaning. We are now prepared to posit that the equal sign transitions into the greater than sign, which acts as an arrow, not a mathematical symbol. Thus, moving forward from a previous clause. The result is that this symbol means "then" or "therefore".

The WarCry Research Group certifies these results as 100% accurate and releases them for the good of researchers worldwide. We hope they can help decode "The Benefactor Stone", destroy the Bane and achieve mankind's sovereignty over the cosmos!
