Victor "Sporkfire" Wachter, the Community Manager for Cryptic Studios "Marvel Online", has started his own blog. Some may remember him as the former CM over at Turbine for Dungeons and Dragons Online. A few months ago, he jumped to Cryptic to help them with their upcoming super-hero licensed MMO.

Well, it seems that it's time for me to have a blog. I'm just settling in here, so I figure we'll start out slow.

I just got back from the Online Game Development Conference in Seattle. It was a pretty impressive conference, especially given that it was the first in its series. I spoke on the panel titled Engaging Your Community, which focused on the early phases of community building. It is important that you know that I have taken an oath of vengeance against moderator Richard Weil for stealing the LotRO squirrel story which I had planned to tell. That plan for vengeance might fizzle though, considering I gave him two t-shirts and went to dinner with him.
