We finally received a new Beta Journal! It has been awhile since the last one, but apparently the testers have been busy with the early levels!
This week PE asked that we test Gladiators. I have been trying to level a Priest to do the comparison between Priests and Nomads, but, as of this build, Priests are way over powered. So I thought I would wait until that class is more balanced out before I do a comparison.
Unfortunately, until I get my class characters high enough, I don't have a whole lot to report. As a member of the original core team, we've pretty much stuck to playing up to about level 15. I don't think this is even ¼ of the game. There are two starter areas for 1-10 level content and we have tested these areas too many times to count. The fact that we are still here, still doing the same areas, and still don't find it boring leads me to believe we have a great game coming.
These areas we have been testing are constantly tweaked. Even in our first week of playing there were already tons of quests, and since then PE has added more and more new quests. You will not run out of quests if you love doing them, there are plenty. We've been seeing more epic type quests added for your god powers, as well as more quests for those special minions everyone wants to collect. These types are particularly fun, and usually have a great story for you to follow through. Once you receive this type of quest, you are given a contract with a certain criteria that must be met before you can activate the contract and hire the minion. The criteria can be anywhere from collecting a bunch of loot drops and breaking a curse to killing a boss mob that has killed your soon-to-be minion's family.
I want to kill boss mobs that killed my soon-to-be Minion's family!
You can read the entire journal over at Gods & Heroes!
