Asherons Call: Friday Fan Favorite

| 1 Jun 2007 04:06

This June, each Friday, we're going to feature a different quest, selected by the fans themselves. Today, we hear about the Quest for the Silifi of the Crimson Stars.

My main has always been an Axe specialist, so my favorite quest has been Silifi of the Crimson Stars. When I returned, I found that I no longer have my SoCS, so I will try and rerun the quest.

Why? Well, there were a number of reasons I liked the quest.

1.) It was full of lore.
2.) There was not an element of randomness. Once you found the rumor, you could track it down, there was no "if you happen to run across this guy in the Dires, you have part of the quest".
3.) It was one-shot (though I'm glad this has changed, since I seem to have lost my original one), you had to plan on what you were doing.
4.) It provided a customizable weapon. I would have liked if you could use all of the gems, but the fact that you had to make a choice added a personality to the quest.
5.) It was useful to have a group. Lockpick was not a talent I had, and I had to work within a group, which was mainly pulled from my allegiance, to have a lockpick specialist on hand. We would each do something for each other, and then, after we had all met our limited goals, we would fight together. The Silifi was a great group building quest.

So, take a look at our write-up here and Jacinth's Journal entry about it here, and see what makes this one a fan favorite!
