Main Character name: Treksin
Server: Bloodfin
Player Association: ACES - Roughneck Cavalry
Where in the real life world do you live? Washington, D.C. (soon returning to Southern California)
How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I have played SWG for almost two and a half years.
What other MMOs have you played? SWG was my first, and currently my only, MMO.
What type of work do you do? I graduate from law school this year. This fall, I'll begin work as an Intellectual Property attorney at a Los Angeles law firm.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? On the average, I'll either hop on for a quick five minute vendor/email check or stay on for two to three hours.
What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? First, the business: I log in my shopkeep (currently Vroom) and check on my vendors, then I go through any emails I have waiting for me, and finally, I pop in guildchat and galaxy.pilotslounge to see what's going on. Then, the fun: space! Whether it's PVP, looting, or testing a new load-out ... you'll most commonly find me among the stars. When I'm grounded, it's usually because I'm hanging out with my guild-mates (either questing or PVP), organizing space loot in my parts houses, or crafting away on my Shipwright.
What was the race and profession of your very first character? My very first character was Treksin - a human pilot. Ok, so he was a mixed shipwright/commando template, but honestly, ask anyone on Bloodfin what Treksin's profession is and they'll just say one word: Pilot.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I've always been a gamer. My roots began with Zork and King's Quest on the PC. My first game system, the Nintendo, was what sealed the deal. I dabble in all sorts of games, from racing to fighting, but my favorites are always those from the RPG genre: from the King's Quest, Mario, and the Legend of Zelda through the latest Final Fantasy games, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and Star Wars Galaxies.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing Star Wars Galaxies? When I'm not studying or behind a computer screen, I enjoy being out among friends - taking in the sights and sounds of the city, laughing, and having a good time.
What is your highest level Character in Star Wars Galaxies? Master Pilot of all 9 Squadrons. Oh!! You mean ground levels ... hmm ... 90 then ... /grin. Currently, Treksin's a Master Smuggler, Sinsera's a Master Entertainer, and Vroom's my Master Shipwright.
What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? Call a Favor 2: Medic. Because that Medic is just so funny!!
What faction is your main character? Rebel. But shhh ... we're supposed to be keeping a low profile.
What is your favorite player owned ship? My favorite player owned ship would be the ACES Pillager - my YT1300.
What is your favorite ground vehicle? My favorite ground vehicle is my Speederbike. Sure, I have the fancier vehicles ... but the Speederbike is AWESOME!
How did you choose your main character's name? Well, I pressed this button called "Generate Random Player Name" and after mixing and matching a few of the generations, I came up with Treksin Vindolo. However, the non-random toon name creations, Vroom Putt-Putt, my muppet-themed Wocka Wocka, and Rowlf Rizzo, are the favorites. Running through a starport and seeing "Wocka Wocka says, 'Wocka Wocka Wocka!!'" in my spatial chat still cracks me up.
Which professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I have to admit, I used that respec tool for all it was worth and dabbled in most of the professions, but as far as spending serious time, I've yet to really be a Medic, Officer, or Spy.
What is your favorite expansion? I got into SWG for Jump to Lightspeed and I continue to play SWG for JTL. Hands down, it is the best expansion.
What is your favorite planet? My favorite planet is Endor. If it's ever opened up for cities, ACES will be relocating next to one of the Tree Villages!
What is your favorite NPC? My favorite NPC is Captain Rikkh. Jokester and Corsec Pilot ... what more could you ask for?
Which expansion do you like the least? My least favorite expansion would be The Trials of Obi-Wan.
Which planet do you like the least? My least favorite planet would be Mustafar.
Which NPC do you like the least? The Chassis Dealer and I have a special love-hate relationship.
What is the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? 100 million credits plus some items in trade for some ship parts, they can be pricey!
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? For nostalgic reasons I still have my first Krayt chassis with 8 chassis hit-points left on it.
What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? What I like best about SWG is that it gives me a break from reality, a community I'm proud to be a part of, and friendships that will survive whatever twists this game produces.
What do you get out of playing Star Wars Galaxies? I get to pilot an YT-1300. Need I say more? Sometimes, I even let the Wookiee fly, while I take a turret!
Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies? Some of my best experiences in SWG were: mastering my first pilot squadron, launching into space in the YT-1300 for the first time, my first Deep Space PvP kill, my first time destroying the corvette solo, joining my first guild, starting my own guild [ACES]... and the list goes on. Recently two more "bests" for the scrapbook were crafting my first set of Mandalorian armor and obtaining the Master Underworld Smuggler title. However, more than any solo accomplishment, the true best experience I've had in SWG has been my role in the creation and support of player-created space content on the Bloodfin Server. Through Events, Pilot's Nights, Tournaments, Sunday Night Fights, impromptu duels across the galaxy, even just the simple things like taking the time to answer some questions, or helping with some pilot missions. Watching Bloodfin grow as a space community has been the single best experience I've had in this game. We have really jumpstarted the server again and I'm excited to see where we go from here!
