Reakktor has announced that a new update is under development, after the recent released of 2.2. The next update is called "Back to the Roots".

After the successful release of Neocron Evolution 2.2, a new content package is currently under development. The motto for this update is "Back to the Roots" and it contains the relocation of Dome of York resident factions back to the city of Neocron. The relations between the factions will also be adjusted to create new exciting conflict potential for the players. Besides the adjustments of the game content, all happenings will be presented in form of in-game events and articles in the webzines Neocronicle and Voice of the Resistance.
