In a somewhat technical article on arstechnia, they look at the Playstation 3's unique processor and the challenges it presents from a developer standpoint. The article comes in the wake of a corporate Sony blog post where they insisted that developers can do more with the PS3 than its competitors and that the problem may have been that they just had not done it yet.

The author, a former EA developer himself, drew parallels between the PS3 and the PS2, but also noted that it is extremely hard to compare the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 and that ultimately, just like the last generation, the war will be won by he who sells the most units.
