Last month, we made our opinion clear on what looked like it would be a major firestorm: Manhunt 2. This Take-Two / Rockstar game has been banned by Great Britain and other countries for its excessive violence and then more recently received an "Adults Only" rating in the US, which effectively bans it from distribution on the Nintendo and Sony platforms for which it was made.
Over the weekend, the sparks continued to fly. Analysts first predicted that the controversy would actually increase demand, but despite the hype, Take-Two was forced to announce that it had indefinitely delayed the game's distribution.
Take-Two can either shelf the game permanently, but that seems doubtful since they call it "art", or rework it to fit into a lower rating category. Otherwise, they seem out of luck.
