World Of Warcraft: The Plight of Low Pop Servers

| 3 Jul 2007 08:02

If you've been playing since launch on the same server you probably haven't experienced this, but many players are discovering that the "New" server they rolled on after purchasing the game isn't the best place to be. Horrigan, a warrior on the Thortheldrin server, provides screenshots of what he states is the prime-time level 70 population of his server: a whoping 13 people, only 3 of which are healers (considering the trend, that shaman is probably enhancement.)

Blizzard has been attempting to rescue these dying servers by tagging them as "Recommended", but as those who have played on a previously "Recommended" server can tell you, that doesn't always solve the problem. Many people, Horrigan included, have called for the server mergers that were hinted at prior to the release of the expansion.

Do you come from a dying or dead server? What methods have you personally used to try and bring it back to life, if any?
