Star Wars Galaxies: The space between what's wrong and right

| 9 Jul 2003 14:50

Holocron stopped by the Discussion boards to address the issue of harvesters and the difference between the player and dev point of view. I personally would have gone about this a little differently, but here is a snippet of what he had to say:

I was discussing the whole harvester issue with one of the designers here. And he basically thinks you're all crazy. (Hang on, bear with me).

He's spent ~30 hours total in the game since it came out. He maintains a pair of harvesters and a generator. The setup not only pays for itself but generates a profit. He has 10,000 power stored up because he hasn't been bothered to sell it, and tens of thousands of resources. He's the one who can make 15,000 credits an hour, and mostly he doesn't bother because he doesn't need to. He pays all his maintenance and keeps everything fully powered.
