When bounty hunting, before attacking, place a droideka (/tellpet stay) at a distance where you are sure your target will run, have a macro set for him to attack target (/tellpet attack), your droid will probably get destroyed, but that's a few more seconds for you to get a few hits in on your target.

Sounds nasty. I may try that.
