"London is under siege Gar, Where can I find a bottle o'rum?" - this is probably the sentence Cimitar-Chris' parrot learnt first, followed by "Ahoy, whar be my underpants Ye'll ne'er get me buried booty!", and "Aye, decompressen o' the underwater helix genetic code is now underway in the biological chemistry laboratory."

Taking harbours - like the one of London - by siege is a prime example of what builds the fascination of Bounty Bay Online for guilds. As soon as a guild decides to take a city by siege, something like a "call to arms" is sent out to all participating, friendly and hostile players. Then, the invading party first has to take out the city cannon stations from the sea - while fighting away the defending human players. The fights escalate on the harbour docks with man vs. man combat, and then the cities inner sanctums are entered, until the town hall is occupied by one party.

Sieges take at least a few hours as well as a few dozed players to participate, all of them with their own ship and full equipment of weapons and armour. To overcome city walls, gamers must closely cooperate. The victorious party, then, has full control over the city and can, amongst others, configure local taxes from the citizens and earn lots of money.
