World Of Warcraft: In-game Voice Chat in 2.2 and Some Hotfixes

| 23 Jul 2007 00:48

Nethaera recently confirmed that the recently announced in-game voice chat would be going live for testing in a later build on the PTR and should be going in with patch 2.2. Many players questioned this after noticing the inclusion of various interface items that included voice-chat features but were unusable.

Alongside this there have been a variety of hotfixes that have gone live in the last few days, as Drysc reports:

Only one of these characters is Horde.
Only one of these characters is Horde.

- Warlocks can no longer summon players while in a Battleground.
- Shartuul should now properly be un-attackable if you are not involved in the summoning event.
- Season 2 Arena vendors should now no longer disappear upon a realm restart or following maintenance.
- Vendors in Halaa now sell Mystic Dawnstone jewelcrafting recipe.
- Insignias of the Alliance/Horde and Medallions of the Alliance/Horde no longer remove Unstable Affliction.

The Shartuul fix came after a player reported that Alliance players were able to tag and roll on loot that dropped after the Shartuul event in Blade's Edge Mountains against the Horde players that had started it. While there was no CM response to the post that reported it, GMs ruled in favor of the Alliance players, allowing them to keep the loot.
