World Of Warcraft: New Development Team Lead For Blizzard North!

Rick Seis who joined Blizzard North in 1994 and was previously the Lead Programmer has been announced as the new Development Team Lead for Blizzard North. Congratulations Rick!

Some other interesting notes:

Seis will lead Blizzard North's team of developers, which will be streamlined into one core group to focus their efforts on one key project. The details of the studio's next project will be announced at a future time.

He was senior programmer on Diablo, lead programmer on Diablo II, and the company's director of technology.

The first note is interesting in that Bill Roper had said Blizzard North had TWO projects and now it seems as though they have changed that and all the developers at Blizzard North will focus on a single project. Should be a big one... I can't wait.
