Dungeons And Dragons Online: Meet the Turbine community team!

| 1 Aug 2007 22:30

Hi everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce the Turbine community team to you. Some members of the DDO community will know us from Turbine's other games, and we've seen some of your faces there too.

First, we have a little bit of news about Samera; some of you may have noticed that she hasn't been around as much. Recently she accepted the role of Associate Producer on one of our development teams. Community positions very often lead to opportunities in design and production, and we know she'll do well in her new role!

DDO will continue to be Quarion's focus, and you may see other faces from the Turbine community team more often as well.

We'll be growing the team in the coming weeks and months, so expect more introductions!

The Turbine community team is:

  • Meghan "Patience" Rodberg - I'm the community manager for LOTRO, and I spend too much time in meetings when not harassing the LOTRO forums and development team.
  • Lorien "Ramen" Carney - Ramen has been with Turbine for a few years now working on community efforts on multiple games. She likes coffee. A lot. In fact, if she's not at her desk, you can find her at the coffee machine.
  • Vanessa "Saffron" Price - Saffron has been working with the LOTRO community for over a year now. They affectionately call her "The Iron Fist of Justice," but don't let that fool you. She's a big softie at heart.
  • Andy "Frelorn" Cataldo - Frelorn is the man behind the Asheron's Call community. He also takes care of the OCR department's hermit crabs, Colonel Bubblepants and Barkey von Schnauzer (or Bob).

And of course you all know Troy "Quarion" Pruyt, who will continue to be the Community Specialist primarily focused on DDO.

Thanks for your patience (no pun intended) during the shard merge, and please join us in congratulating Samera on her new position!
