Tabula Rasa: Work and Play with NCsoft!

| 7 Aug 2007 23:33

A couple of random bits from NCsoft that I didn't feel comfortable putting up until I could do so with a clever title! See, its about a job opening, and a party at PAX. Get it...Work and Play? You see what I did there...?

NCsoft is looking for a new Community Manager. Have you ever dreamed of ruling over an online game community with an iron fist, and getting to crush anyone who dares to challenge you with impertinent questions? Well, it's been suggested to me that perhaps I don't have a firm grasp on the spirit of the position, in which case, I would refer you to the official announcement:

Community Coordinator Needed!

NCsoft North America, the U.S. branch of NCsoft, the world's largest independent developer and publisher of online computer games is seeking an experienced Community Coordinator.

The Community Coordinator is responsible for interacting with the greater community focused around their assigned game. Success in this role relies on a sound understanding of customer behavior combined with an ability to develop creative, innovative and compelling messaging. In-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and experience in dealing with online communities are key success factors in this job.

If you have at least one year of experience administering a gaming forum or other community sites, we would love to hear from you. Visit here to review the job requirements and learn how to apply.

Then, if you're one of the lucky people going to PAX this month, be sure to attend the NCsoft soiree. A number of NCsoft community managers will be holding court, including our favorite Tabula Rasa CM, April "Cuppa Joe" Burba!
