One of the less-voiced concerns at Blizzcon was the vocal minority of people demanding more mid-level content. Since release, there really has only been 1 non-expansion leveling dungeon added (Mauradon in patch 1.2) with quests sprinkled about the various patches. Ever since then, people have been be clamoring for more content in the 1-59 game and with WotLK looming on the horizon, the prospect of adding an additional 10 levels to the grind makes the prospect seem even more grim. Blizzard has suggested that there will be new features put in place to help with the grind, but refused to give anything remotely specific until recently when Nethaera said this:
We have a few things in the works that are going to help out a bit. One of those things is that we are going to adjust the rate at which players can level. Another is that we are working on some changes for Dustwallow Marsh which should give players in that zone more to do and make leveling go quicker as well.
Having just leveled my sixth character from 1-60, I for one am excited by the prospect of an increased experience rate and work on some of the nastier holes in the gain rate, such as level 29-32.
