Where in the real life world do you live? I live in Coeur d' Alene, ID.
How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I have been playing since launch.
What other MMOs have you played? I've dabbled in World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, City of Heroes/Villains, Vanguard, Second Life, and others. The only one I continue to play aside from SWG is LOTRO.
What type of work do you do? I run a video production company.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? Generally I spend 3-4 hours on SWG over the course of a day.
What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? My first stop is always my trader to restock vendors and complete special orders. From there I divide my time between managing my city, working my cantina, and adventuring with friends. Recently I've been helping a few friends with quests on Kashyyyk and Musty.
What was the race and profession of your very first character? Tralmek was my first avatar. He is a Mon Calamari and started out as an artisan.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I started out playing the arcade-style games on computers like Digger, Castle, etc. My first RPG was King's Quest IV. Now I'm pretty much exclusively into MMORPGs. Since SWG launched the only single player game I've truly enjoyed was Fable.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing Star Wars Galaxies? Writing and making movies...my hobbies are also my profession! I also do some still photography.
What is your highest character level in Star Wars Galaxies? My highest level character is CL90.
What race and profession is your main character? I have three avatars I play almost equally: Mon Cal smuggler, human entertainer, and Mon Cal trader.
What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? The creativity and roleplay value are awesome. The professions I play all have one thing in common -- the player gets to drive his or her own content as well as content for others. That's fun for me.
What faction is your main character? Neutral -- however, he'll align either way if you can afford it.
What is your favorite player owned ship? I'm pretty much attached to the YT-1300.
What is your favorite ground vehicle? AV-21 is my favorite.
How did you choose your main character's name? Before launch I checked a bunch of fan-created name generators. Tralmek is a combination of two of those names.
Which current professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I have played all of the current professions at one time or another.
What is your favorite expansion? Jump to Lightspeed -- what's Star Wars without space?
What is your favorite planet? Corellia is my favorite.
What is your favorite NPC? Borvo the Hutt -- he dances when you play music or dance for him!
Which expansion do you like the least? Rage of the Wookiees -- too much pathing and instancing for my taste.
Which planet do you like the least? I like Rori the least.
Which NPC do you like the least? The Stormtroopers that harass people in cantinas.
What is the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? I spent 30 million credits on a Kashyyyk Matriarch Painting a few weeks ago.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I keep every piece of clothing made for me by Alciril, the first tailor I met. Some may remember her from beta as well as from Starsider.
What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? I love the sandboxyness.
What do you get out of playing Star Wars Galaxies? Having my own little corner of Star Wars in which I can create a unique character is great. I like that I don't have to be a big shot in the Empire or the Rebellion, I can be a spice runner or a tailor or a barber or anything else I choose. These are things I just can't do in any other Star Wars game.
Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies. As far as good times go, I'd say participating in the Cantina Crawls on Bria. Another one of my most treasured memories is when an Imperial role-playing guild needed entertainers for a promotion ceremony. They hired me, Javier, Doasa, Kirahfaye, Roho, Leivi, and a couple other entertainers for the night. We had a lot of fun, especially since there was some tension in the air given that many of the entertainers were Rebel and we got to do a little "reconnaissance" on the stronghold's defenses while we were there.
Do you run or work for a Star Wars Galaxies Fan Site? I made the 2007 Galaxy Calendars, which can be found on this web site. I am currently working on a full-featured Image Design site, and come October I'll be taking submissions for the 2008 Calendars.
