World Of Warcraft: 2.2 PTRs Go Down and 2.2.2 PTRs Go Up!

| 24 Sep 2007 02:02

Late last week, the long-standing PTRs for patch 2.2 were taken down, a sure sign that the patch will soon be going live. The testing for patch 2.2 has been a long and arduous process, with the highly anticipated in-game voice chat feature being enabled and disabled regularly. Also coming in the patch will be a brand new sound engine for the game.

Shortly after bringing the 2.2 PTRs down, Hortus announced that a new patch would be going up for testing, the 2.2.2 Holiday patch, which includes not only the Halloween event but also the brand new Brewfest event. WoW Insider has a early look up at the new event, which looks to be a pretty hefty distraction from your regularly scheduled Warcraft content.
