What is your real name? Jeff Haskell.

What is your official title/position? I am an Associate Designer on Star Wars Galaxies.

How long have you been working on Star Wars Galaxies? I worked on SWG while in QA from February 2004 until June of 2007 when I received my current design position. In total, I have been a part of SWG for 3 years and 4 months.

What profession do you like to play in Star Wars Galaxies? I have played bounty hunter the most, but medic and Jedi are a lot of fun too.

What is it you like to do while in-game? I am a solo player. I like PvE content that is challenging enough to make me think before engaging enemies.

What types of things do you do in a typical day at work? One of the most interesting things I have done recently was to build out mini-Points of Interest on several planets. I placed buildings, walls, aggro enemies and other objects in the wild. Imagine hundreds of objects and creatures at your disposal and several planets to choose from.

Other work tasks worth mentioning are creating unique looking Treasure Map Mobs in the NPC editor, and hooking up a new game items with new art. Both are pretty exciting from my perspective.

Other tasks include learning the intricacies of the various tools and systems within SWG, fixing bugs and spending several minutes visualizing new designs using existing systems, or revamping existing systems like the Treasure Maps.

Who is your favorite Star Wars character and why? Luke Skywalker was my favorite as a young kid. Episodes 4-6 embodied the idea that anyone, even a moisture farmer on Tatooine, can conquer evil with persistence and a little help from friends and family.

Outside of work, what do you like to do? I work a lot, but when I am not working, I play FPS and RTS games, as well as MMOs.
