Stargate Worlds: An All-New Season of Stargate Atlantis

An all-new season of Stargate Atlantis returns Friday, September 28 on SCI FI Channel in the United States! (SPOILERS in this report!)

Here's what GateWorld has to say about the season opener, "Adrift" ...

"Adrift in deep space with the city's protective shield failing, Dr. McKay and the team must do all they can to keep Atlantis alive. A radical injury threatens Dr. Weir's life."

"Adrift" is purported to be loaded with visual effects, including Puddle Jumpers blasting away asteroids to clear a path for Atlantis. The season opens with the arrival of full-bird Colonel Samantha Carter (played by SG-1's Amanda Tapping) to Atlantis, replacing Dr. Elizabeth Weir (played by Torri Higginson). Weir, meanwhile, will begin her own journey in the second part of the season opener, "Lifeline."
