Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment posted today on the official Stargate Worlds site announcing the arrival of new members of the development team. The new hires include engineers, world builders and office staff:
StargateWorlds.com welcomes senior engineer Joshua Rowan, world builder Brandi Alotto, receptionist Carrera Livingston and world builder Michael Bermann to the Cheyenne Mountain team!
I just got here from Atlanta. It's a bit hotter and a lot drier here. I used work on video slot machines, and I'm excited to be working on a real game now. I'll be working on the client, getting it ready to go. In my off time I enjoy playing video games, reading, and sleeping!
- Joshua Rowan, Senior EngineerHi everyone. I am one of the new World Builders. I just moved to Phoenix from the Dallas area, where I got one of the first Master's Degree in Level Design ever from The Guildhall at SMU. Since then, I've been working as a designer on an XNA project at the Guildhall. I'm excited to be here working on Stargate Worlds, and I can't wait to really get into it. I hadn't been to the desert before coming out to visit CME, but I am enjoying the non-humid weather so far, and I am looking forward to checking out some of Arizona's parks. When I'm not working, I enjoy vegging at home with my 10 month old puppy named Joey.
- Brandi Alotto, World BuilderHi, my name is Carrera Livingston. I'm the front desk receptionist here at Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment. I moved here from San Francisco in 2001. Outside of work I am an aspiring model and I just like to have a good time and hang out with friends. My three favorite things are my Blackberry, (unfortunately) my Siberian husky Mr. Shiloh, and California beaches.
- Carrera Livingston, ReceptionistI'm one of the new World Builders here and am very excited to be working on Stargate Worlds. I graduated from The Guildhall at SMU last June with a Professional Certificate in Digital Game Development, Level Design. After that I worked as a programmer on a Torque/XNA project funded by Microsoft at The Guildhall for five months, during the project we created an extensive 2d Platformer Starter kit for Torque X that's being used by the incoming Guildhall students for their first Team Game Project. I really like playing pool but haven't had time to find a good pool hall in town yet, so hopefully that will change soon!
- Michael Bermann, World Builder
