Stratics interviewed NetDevil's Hermann Peterscheck, Producer of Jumpgate Evolution, about the latest on project development:
Players will have the ability to do almost everything that AI can do; citing the above examples, a player can transport goods and resources in trade runs, or they can attack hostile pirate ships. But that's just scratching the surface; Jumpgate Evolution will offer a plethora of features, some we've seen before and some new introductions to the genre that the company isn't ready to talk about just yet.
NetDevil also looks forward to a smooth beta, for which they had over 15,000 people sign up for in a matter of hours. Jumpgate Evolution's servers have been extremely stable and they won't be entering beta until they've got a product that has very few bugs. "The beta community shouldn't be a bug testing community. If I can find a bug, I don't need beta testers to find it," Mr. Peterscheck proclaims while carrying on to say, "beta should be about load testing, balancing, economy, AI population, and game mechanics."
