Stargate Worlds: New Stargate Worlds IRC Chat Launched!

Stargate Worlds fans are at it again! This time launching a dedicated IRC channel for all "Gaters" out there:

"From the beginning of 2007, developers of the game started to poke around," says moderator Zoeff, "after which the possibility came that too many will connect at once from Cheyenne Mountain's headquarters. This would cause the network's services to think they're all the same person because they all have the same IP Address, and G-Line (ban) them."

Now with the new system, more developers -- and more fans -- will be able to get into the IRC and talk one-on-one simultaneously, without the risk of becoming disconnected or banned because of duplicated IP addresses.

The StargateWorlds IRC Network is located on irc.SGWirc.com. If you're new to IRC, then you can use the Java based PJIRC client on www.sgwirc.com.

Once connected, you can use /nick MyNewNickname to change your name.
