Pirates Of The Burning Sea: PotBS: Pair of Reviews

| 28 Jan 2008 00:40

A pair of reviews surfaced today. The first comes by way of Trusted Reviews that scored Pirates of the Burning Sea with an overall 8/10 score. They summed it up by saying:

That said, this is the best time I've had in an MMO since I first played LoTRO last year, and I think it's bursting with long-term potential. So for now, I'll steal a line from Xavier Atencio and the classic theme park ride come movie come cultural phenomenon; "yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate's life for me."

Verdict

The freshest, most enjoyable MMO experience since LoTRO and WoW. Step onboard, me hearties, and grab a piece of the pirate life.

The second review comes from Hooked Gamers. They similarly gave Pirates of the Burning Sea an 8/10 score and had this to say:

With all that said, Pirates of the Burning Seas is a welcome change of pace to the MMO world. This title will attract many players with diverse interests ranging from hardcore Player vs. Player, to character grinding, to playing with a live economy. There is a little something for every kind of player waiting in this swashbuckling version of 1720. With a little time and polish, the handful of minor bugs can be worked out and the full potential of this title may finally be realized.

Both reviews have lots more to say to jump on the links above to read the rest.
