IncGamers.com has an interview with Everquest 2 Senior Producer Bruce Ferguson. It highlights his experience with the game and what the future holds for EQ2:
Speaking of Europe, French-speaking players are fond of live events. Some of these events have marked their memories such as the griffin towers or the teleport spires. Are we going to have other manifestations of the same style?
It's certainly on our list to do them. We like them quite a bit as well, and we're trying to figure out better ways to put them in game with less stress and strain on the team. Both of those events took teams of 10 to 20 people 6 or 8 months to implement, not including quality assurance. And then they're over in a week or two of game-play time. Figuring out a way to get that same impact without so much investment is a constant discussion amongst the team.
