Real Life First Name: Steven
Forum Handle: MasterTexiria
Main Character Name: Anishor
Server: Starsider
Player Association: Rebel Squadrons Player Association (RSPA)

Where in the real life world do you live? I live in Baltimore, Maryland.

How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? I have played SWG since early beta 3 in spring of 2003. I started following it with the first press release.

What other MMOs have you played? I have played Vanguard, WoW, and PlanetSide.

What type of work do you do? I'm a student about to graduate in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and another one in Computer Science. Now I mainly do research classes with focus on security and voting systems, though gaming is cool too.

How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies?  Depends. It can be anywhere from 30 minutes to four hours. On average I would say about two hours.

What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you?  Log in, get buffs, go look for PvP or role-playing. If neither is present at the time, go back to my duties of organizing the Rebel pilots on my server's space PvP events, or guild administration tasks. In the evenings, try to set up guild heroic or other instance runs, and in the future squadron practices.

What was the race and profession of your very first character? Wookiee (but not Anishor), and he was Master Swordsman/Master Creature Handler.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? My father got me into gaming when he brought home an Atari, and then had us play things like Math Blaster, Dr. Brain's Castle, and other educational games which really do help. But I would say the love began when I played my first Microprose games, F-19 Stealth Fighter and Red Storm Rising, and then LucasArts X-wing.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other than playing Star Wars Galaxies? I play club soccer for my school, where I play goal keeper. I also am part of the fencing club at my school where I fence left-handed saber. I also try to play ice hockey whenever I am Dallas for an extended period of time. Outside of sports, I enjoy problem solving and designing solutions to game, voting systems, security, algorithms design, and coding problems. I do also enjoy coding; yep, that's right, coding. I also like  going out with friends for drinking and dancing at clubs.

My other big hobby is promoting a cause here on the forums, a cause I have championed for about two years now. I have a proposal to improve several starfighters which currently are greatly underpowered compared to more used chassis such as the Royal Guard Interceptor, Tie Oppressor, A-wing or Advanced X-wing. This thread finds its home on the Pilot forums and is known as the Lesser Used Chassis.

What is your highest character level in Star Wars Galaxies? They're all 90.

What race and profession is your main character? Wookiee Berserker... I mean officer and pilot.

What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? Melee offensive powers with useful group buffs.

What faction is your main character? I am a Rebel.

What is your favorite player owned ship? The A-X Sathog Mk 2, which is my B-wing.

What is your favorite ground vehicle? My Colonel's BARC speeder.

How did you choose your main character's name?  Actually way back in 2003 I used the galaxy's name generator to get the name, and I liked it. I of course later found out that in Wookiee it means Fierce Master.

Which current professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played?  Crafting, I do it all except craft. Tried it in beta and got burnt out.

What is your favorite expansion? Rage of the Wookiees, though I would have liked it if Wookiees got different responses from the NPCs there.

What is your favorite planet? Kashyyyk. My favorite place in the entire game is there, Wroshyr Canopy.

What is your favorite NPC? You were guessing a Wookiee, no? Actually, it is a standard Rebel pilot's response: Warvog Arkon. That grouchy old Twi'lek smuggler was always nice to my Wookiee.

What are the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? 30 million credits for a capped bowcaster in the Combat Upgrade era.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so, what is it and why do you keep it? Yep, though I no longer wear it, I keep my Clan of the Wroshyr War Sage's hood and smock in my house. It was given to me when I assumed the role of War Sage for the clan. I keep it in my bunker, and fondly remember my brothers in Wroshyr.

What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? Wookiees, B-wings, and Lethan Twi'lek girls. What else do you need?

Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies. It was my initiation ceremony to Clan of the Wroshyr, back when I started playing on Starsider again after leaving the Ahazi server because of lack of space PvP and role-play. It was a large role-playing event, the first one I had been to. It started at Wroshyr Village, in our city hall, with our Sages introducing the new clan members. Then we went on a guild krayt hunt, all thirty or so of us Wooks. We actually felled several Ancients and if I remember correctly, we got a premium pearl for our one Jedi Wookiee in the clan.

Do you run or work for a Star Wars Galaxies Fan Site? I do not work or run a fan site but I am a proud member of the Starsider galaxy forums community, where Starsider role-players interact to discuss RP and plan RP.
