Real Life First Name: Jacob, but I've always preferred Jake.

Where in the real life world do you live? I live in Southern Illinois.
How long have you played Star Wars Galaxies? Since around August of 2003. I didn't warm up to the forums until later.
What other MMOs have you played? I have played Lineage II, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Lord of the Rings Online, and a few others I have already forgotten.
What type of work do you do? I am currently aloft after working supply in the U.S. Army and soaking up a little bit of knowledge while I was in college.
How long is your typical gaming session when playing Star Wars Galaxies? All I can say to this is I can be a machine.
What does a typical Star Wars Galaxies day consist of for you? Well, as of late I've been working on collections. I have enjoyed role-playing and instance running in the past though. I've been trying to put more emphasis on forums than I have in the past recently. But generally speaking things have been very slow for me in game lately.
What was the race and profession of your very first character? I think it was, in fact, Vreese. She's always been Twi'lek. If I remember right I re-rolled her once. The first time I'd picked up Scout and Marksman. With the re-roll I went with Brawler and Medic. The goal was always the same, though: become a Jedi.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? My older brother got me into this. It all started with a little Dungeons and Dragons with ThacO and everything. Generally, be it online or off, I prefer role-playing games. There is nothing quite as fun to me as fleshing out a role.
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing Star Wars Galaxies? I enjoy reading and try to get out and hike. Other than that I use to paint miniatures. Something I don't think today's players appreciate with all of the pre-painted items. Despite having been in the military I'm not really that into sports activities.
What is your highest character level in Star Wars Galaxies? CL 90.
What race and profession is your main character? Twi'lek and Jedi for both of them. Batak and Vreese are pretty much known as "The Twins" in my little community.
What do you like the most about the profession you have chosen for your main character? Even in the case of the game not giving us a logical meld of continuity with game play, I loved the idea of being a Jedi because it was a class you could think of as a Knight - one of the good guys essentially. And for me it is very often a lot harder to see the good in someone than the bad. That and I always figured Ben and Yoda could have been successful in warding away some of the Jedi from what was later to be Order 66. In that way I can still find it mystical.
At this point I just find it a bonus that Jedi turned out to be a solid PvE profession, since I do tend to like that aspect of the game more.
What faction is your main character? I am Rebel.
What is your favorite player owned ship? Heavy X-wing. Ever since watching the original, then revised, version of the Episode IV's attack on the Death Star I've loved the X-wing. Using some Expanded Universe material, I just found it interesting that the X-wing was also a fighter stolen from the evil empire (Incom) to be used as a weapon of good to restore peace to the galaxy as well.
What is your favorite ground vehicle? AV-21. I like it mostly because I didn't have to buy an expansion to get it and it was something my friends helped me make.
How did you choose your main character's name? Vreese came about by ripping apart Reese's Pieces and trying to throw something into that, which wound up being a V, to come up with something that sounded Star Wars-y. My first sergeant's name was also Reese so it was just something I had on my mind at the time I got into SWG. Sai'nu came from the weapon, Sai, and new became "nu".
Which current professions in Star Wars Galaxies have you NOT played? I've tried them all, but it would be easier to say which professions I haven't really been able to get into: spy, crafting post-NGE, and officer.
What is your favorite expansion? Trials of Obi-Wan.While I think it marked the changing of the game from the floor up, it also offered up some of the most well thought out stories I'd yet seen in game, and had some good theories on group instances. Something I think the game needed and needs more of.
What is your favorite planet? Tatooine. It was the one planet that linked the closest to the movies for me. So, I felt most immersed starting out there.
What is your favorite NPC? HK-47. Bloodthirsty droid with a comedic side just stands out. Although he's a boss, it's the one sided communications you get from him that just made me remember why I loved Knights of the Old Republic so much and added a dash of that to Trials of Obi-Wan.
What are the most credits you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? I think it was 10 million for a Sun Rider's Destiny just a little time after Trials of Obi-Wan came out.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so, what is it and why do you keep it? I've got my 50th Malfosa warm glowly drop that I put up in my freighter.
What do you like best about Star Wars Galaxies? It's Star Wars, for starters. Secondly, no other MMORPG offers the kind of character customization, crafting, or player-effected environment as we've got here.
Describe your best experience playing Star Wars Galaxies. I have seen game communities cycle. To have experienced that through SWG has been one of the best experiences the game has offered. I don't mean that in a bad way either. You've got to be a member of a sub-community to really connect with that I suppose. The best experience having been making new friends across the globe.
Do you run or work for a Star Wars Galaxies Fan Site? I helped moderate at Galactic Chronicles for a time. You can find us here.
