Asherons Call: New Daily Image Gallery!

Those of you with keen observational skills, take a look around the front page. See anything different?

Hrm. Something tells me the headline was a bit of a giveaway, no? Well, no matter. As you've all gathered by now, we've applied an upgrade to the screenshot archive and featured screenshot box on the news page. We've standardised on one script for all new screenshot archives across the site - event pictorials, news, contest items and the like - and the Daily Shot is the latest gallery to receive a makeover.

What's in it for you, I hear you cry? Well, before you lot flood my inbox, I'll answer. The main change is that you can now submit your screenshots directly into the archive, where they can be reviewed by an editor and posted for the next day, or left to be used later on. As this system is much more automated then the old email box, the Daily Shot will change each and every day - no more old pictures enjoying more than their advertised twenty-four hours of fame!

To submit a picture, you'll need to use the same registration details as for the new forums. If you've not yet signed up, you can do so here. Once you've got your username and password, visit the screenshot submission form (at the bottom of the index page), enter your details if prompted, and select a picture to upload. You also get the opportunity to specify your own caption (though it may be subject to minor editing). Hit submit, and you're done - it's just as easy as that!

One last point: the old screenshots have been archived, and are now accessible in the Library. You can find the link on the left hand side navigation bar, near the bottom, creatively labelled "Old Daily Pictures".
