I have been spending some time reading from the histories of my Quantar ancestry and from the annals of TRI. I found a reference to an ancient civilization which fought a devastating Civil War. The victorious leader was a man named Lincoln and one of the things that was most impressive to me was that the defeated side was welcomed back to make the civilization whole again, not punished further.
For years Quantar and Hyperial have been at odds, and with the recent war over GVB being so fresh in my mind, I feel that I have learned something from Lincoln's example.
While I am Quantar by blood, I have sworn my allegiance to TRI above all others. Hyperial has rejected TRI alliance in the past, but there is still an overarching relationship that is important and serves my ultimate goal of furthering TRI. I believe that a stronger Hyperial will be of more value to TRI even if they do not openly embrace TRI. Some will call me a Fool as we all were recently fooled by Hyperial with their misappropriation of production items, which ultimately led to the Burglar. The Burglar has done extensive damage to those that are under my care. I have lost many pilots who were chasing Burglar-equipped pirates as they escaped with their ill-gotten gains. This betrayal is fresh in my mind. I have no illusions about Hyperial's past actions, but I always will maintain hope that things will be better. Mostly I am seeking actions and answers.
TRI Marshals is going to make a concerted effort to finish the current HYP FM. We do so without any guarantee that the result will benefit TRI, but we caution Hyperial to understand that damaging TRI will force a reaction and retribution against Hyperial. We would welcome any help that is offered to help finish this mission.
To those who think I am betraying Quantar I say that we should learn from Lincoln's example and seize an opportunity to strengthen these fragile ties. For those that will oppose this move by TRI Marshals, please understand that while we do not wish conflict, we will not hesitate to defend ourselves.
