Asherons Call: Darktide News Network to Close Its Site

We are very sad to report the closing of DNN, the premiere website for all things Darktide. After years of being a focal point for DT news, events, links and allegiance listings, DNN is no longer being supported. The site's last day will be September 1, 2003, and Site Manager Azile, had this to say about the downward spiral:

For almost a year now, I have not played Asheron's Call, the game became stale to me and everytime I logged in, I could not find anything within the system that was enjoyable. Although I am throughly impressed over the years with the many things that Turbine added, I have also been let down numerous times with the things they have screwed up and failed to do. Darktide, in my honest opinion, had the potential to be one of the best PVP outlets in gaming, but always managed to fall short.
