Jumpgate Evolution: EU-A Sad Day for the RI

| 1 Sep 2003 16:38

We then heard over the open channel that TRI officers wanted to re-tune certain beacons in flux space due to the anomalous storm which had appeared. SDLC sent a fleet of ships to assist in this action.

Vicious firefights erupted all over flux space as the brave TRI fleet engaged the Flux against overwhelming odds. Swarm after swarm appeared.

Many RI pilots including many SDLC pilots were lost in this action while the TRI Enforcers escaped unscathed.

I personally sacrificed my ship to save and enforcer being engaged by a stingray. I deemed his survival to lead the fleet was more important than one fighter. Could I be wrong? I feel that the RI does nothing to honour the many sacrifices I saw today, not only from my Solrain brothers, but many independent pilots and other factionalisms who were present. Notably Quantars Sword. I did notice a singularly alarming lack of Octavians.

I could almost hear the joy and euphoria in the song of the flux as TRI pilots valiently struggled with our existing top of the line ships and equipment, and were slowly and surely beaten back and extinguished by this menace.

We eventually made it back to Amananth as the TRI officer sounded the retreat. I rejoined the fleet and proceeded to question the officers present.

WE KNOW that an advanced fighter prototype has been built.

WE KNOW that technology exists for re-enforced advanced hull forms and shielding, as seen in the enforcers.

WE WANT TO KNOW when TRI will allow the pilots who struggle against this menace, will be rewarded with this technology, while they sit in their plush offices drinking cocktails, laughing at our struggle.

The answers we received were not acceptable, when will the RI come clean with the grunts on the sharp end? When are we going to see the fruits of many years enterprise by our top scientists?

In our frustration for answers, some pilots took actions into their own hands and tickled the enforcers to answer us, knowing we could not harm them seriously, we wanted them to know our frustration after the experience we had just had. The TRI ships then led two loyal fighters to their pods, by leading them into the Amananth station in a storm. Treachery to say the least, Attempted murder at best.

Those flux we encountered were of extraordinary power and maneuverability. No match for our stock ships, even when those ships are enhanced with the rare Pre-collapse artifacts, were easily out gunned, out maneuvered and out performed in every way.

RI, you have been weighed and you have been measured, and tonight you have been found wanting...

Muddeh,

Loyal pilot of the RI, for now.
