Steeda_ asks: What exactly do mutilators ignore? Life Protects ? Banes ? AL ? Shields ? Everything ? Nothing ?
Ibn_Turbine: Immortalbob's right, and just about word-for-word what Orion said when I asked him about it just now.
Immortalbob: I think Orion said something like "And they said we couldnt make monsters hurt without making them hollow"
vn_lilkinsly asks: Why do I hear wolves howling in the forest, but can never seem to find them?
Ibn_Turbine: I always thought that the howling was the noise that Banderlings made when there was no one around for them to fight. Maybe that's just me.
Zeretul asks: What do think about NPCs that accept majors for a reward. Feedback Please
Ibn_Turbine: I don't think our NPCs have the ability to check what spells are on an item that you give them. Neat idea though.
Ellen_Ripley states: Bug: *Olthoi Armor shoes change appearance of parts of GSC *
Scenario: It is a bug I am aware of and have already fixed for the September prop. When making the Olthoi Armor, I wanted to make the Gauntlets and Sollerets have a unique dyeable region. Unfortunately, in doing this, I assigned colors to areas used by other pieces of armor and the following effect resulted. This primarily effects the trims of chest armor, such as Celdon veins and the collar of an Amuli coat.
Chrono_WE asks: winter would it be possible to put snow on our rooves?
Scenario: The Landscape is made up of two primary features. The land itself and the objects placed on the land. Texture swapping the land is something that can easily be done, and has been coded to be easy to do. When trees and plants go through their seasonal changes, they aren't getting their textures swapped; the entire object is being swapped. For everything we want to do a new look for that is not something we can create in game on the fly, we have to do a variant to prevent the possibility of something bad happening and we are unable to restore the look to a previous one. Monsters can palette shift on the fly no problem. So can armor and other items, but items that become fixed as part of the landscape, messing with them, even if just at a texture level, is something I personally want to be very careful about. Think of it this way, how would you feel if one day after patch you logged in and couldn't see your house. Or saw that your house was three feet to the left of where it was before and you lost some precious items on hooks.
