In the early morning hours, one of the station's fire fighting units had their hands full when a fire broke out in one of the residential areas. Although the fire was dealt with and extinguished swiftly and noone was hurt, the room where the fire started took some damage so that its owner had to move into a hotel.

He told us that he had come home from an exhausting night shift and wanted to make some breakfast. Unfortunately he fell asleep while his bacon turned black in the pan and finally caught fire.

From now on, he will be served breakfast in the hotel and won't have to cook himself - our thanks go out to the hotel personnel for making our station a bit safer again.
