Playnet released today details of the upcoming v1.31 upgrade to WW II Online: Battleground Europe, along with info regarding an upgrade to the UNITY 3D game engine.
Playnet Inc. today announced version 1.5 of its proprietary UNITY 3D game engine providing new features and integrating new technology for its MMO, WWII ONLINE: BATTLEGROUND EUROPE.
The UNITY 3D game engine delivers a unique set of features for MMO design, allowing for play in huge, zoneless worlds with thousands of simultaneous players interacting in a variety of environments. The UNITY 3D game engine powers the latest major upgrade to WWII ONLINE: BATTLEGROUND EUROPE. Version 1.31, currently in Beta testing, will include updated graphics, effects, terrain objects and game play.
We are also excited to finally reveal the details of our latest upgrade to the game which will leverage version 1.5 of our proprietary UNITY 3D game engine. Currently in closed Beta testing and expected to be available for public testing this fall, v1.31 will include many visual upgrades, hundreds of new objects and major new features such as variable weather, rag doll physics and a new capture mechanic.
