World Of Warcraft: Definition of NDA

| 17 Sep 2003 04:11

Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA):
An NDA is something you sign before you can beta test a game requiring you to sign one. In this document you agree not to reveal any information about the game to anyone including the press, other game companies, etc. Breaking this can result in penalties from removal from beta to your ass being sued. NDAs require you to be 18 or over to sign it (have to be over 18 to enter a legal binding contract). If you are under the age of 18, your parent or legal guardian must sign on your behalf. Some NDAs may require you to print, sign, and mail in the NDA, while others are done online. Here is an example of an NDA:

Hope this helps you understand what an NDA is and what impact it will have on the WoW beta. Hopefully Blizzard will allow certain things to be released and talked about to the general public instead of being like, say, SWG where everyone had to keep quiet until the NDA was lifted.
