True Orb is back with an all-new issue of "Grumpy Old Gimp!" This week, he discusses the growing ego problem in Asheron's Call.
[i]Did you buy your Asheron's Call in the self-help section of your local Barnes & Noble? Surprisingly, based on much of the talk on the boards and in-game lately, it seems that Asheron's Call is not just a relief from reality but also a solution to many players' confidence problems.
This wouldn't be my problem if the nitwits with self-esteem deficits kept it to themselves, but unfortunately they have flooded the boards and the towns on Darktide. Each time I sit down to play AC I am confronted with at least half a dozen remarks, threads, arguments, or flat-out whining resulting from somebody who is attempting to increase his/her own self-confidence problems. It's either by posting fight logs riddled with insults, talking self-righteously about a fight in which they made someone recall or gem, and the list goes on. I won't even get into how the female players get attention.
