Star Wars Galaxies: Introducing "Simple Tricks and Nonsense"

| 18 Sep 2003 14:33

Warcry's Fenris has finished up and published his brand new column, which will (hopefully) be posted here on a regular basis!

To begin, this week Fenris looks at what really frustrates him in the world of SWG, PvP. He identifies the problems, explains then in-depth and then even has a guide to how to fix them! What more could you want?

On paper, the concept of PVP (that's player versus player combat for those of you who are...aliens) in Star Wars Galaxies is simple, yet should work. Rebels shoot Imperials, Imperials shoot Rebels, there's covert flags and TEFs (which means enemies can shoot you) and neutrals. But the more we focus scrutiny on the way SOE put this concept into play, the more it breaks down. First off, as it is, all PVP in SWG is driven by faction points...kill enemies, get faction points.

An awesome first column by Fenris and I'm already look forward to the next one!

Have a gander at it right here!
