City Of Heroes: City of Heroes: Hazard Zone Naming Contest!!

You've read about it in the Hazard Zone description, look at the screenshots, and come up with your best suggestion for a name by midnight on Friday, October 3rd.

The Rules

Only ONE entry per person is allowed. Please take sufficient time to come up with your entry. If you enter a name and then submit another 2 days later (asking that your first one be ignored), you will be disqualified.
You must be 18 or older to participate.
All submitted entries must be of a clean and non-offensive nature.
Your suggestion must be your own and unique (not copyrighted).
How To Enter

We have established a new way for you to enter contests starting with this one. Not only will this new procedure track your submission better and ensure that you receive an auto response (so you know we got your entry), but it will also set you up with a CoH Support Account - so you have one in place to contact us with about issues once the game is released.

To enter the Hazard Zone Naming Contest, please do the following:

1. Go to The City of Heroes Support Tool.

2. Click on the "Ask A Question" Tab

3. Click on the "Create A New Account" button

4. Enter the requested information under "New Account" and "Contact Information" (you can use the same email address for both) and then hit the "Create Account" button. Note: Don't give false info, please. If you do, we won't be able to contact you back about your contest entry and you won't be able to use this account to get help from us once City of Heroes goes live.

If you already have a Support Account with us, instead of creating a new account, enter the requested information under "Returning Users" and hit the Login button.

5. Now you should be on the Ask A Question page. Next to Subject, enter "Hazard Zone Naming Contest." In the message body field, enter the following information:

A. Your registered board name (if you are a member of the CoH forum)
B. Your real name and age
C. Your city, state, and country of residence
D. Your Hazard Zone suggested name

6. VERY IMPORTANT: In the drop down menu next to "Department," select Contest Submission. The only other drop down menu you need to worry about is "Operating System." Please pick your computer's operating system from the available choices (Win200, Win XP, Mac, etc.).

7. Click on "Submit Question" at the bottom of the page. You're done! You should receive an auto-response to your submission shortly!

The Payoff

If selected, your suggested name for the Hazard Zone will be adopted into the City of Heroes game.

Important Information Regarding This Contest:

* All submissions and the intellectual property embodied therein shall be owned by NCsoft and you agree to assign all of your rights in such submission to NCsoft. Upon NCsoft's request, you agree to assist NCsoft in memorializing such assignment. In addition, you agree to waive any moral rights that you may have in such submission.

* You represent that your submission is your own, unique work and that you own all of the rights in such work prior to assignment of such rights to NCsoft.

* NCsoft and Cryptic Studios reserve the right to modify submitted entries in whatever ways deemed necessary to best fit the City of Heroes game. (For example, use a slight variation on the name).

* NCsoft is not responsible for submissions that for whatever reason are not properly delivered to the specified address. You will receive an automatic response from our system when your entry is received. If you do not receive an automated response, please feel free to email Aura (amanning@ncaustin.com) and ask her to verify.

* This contest is void where prohibited.

Winner will be notified and announced on the front page of the City of Heroes web site no later than Friday, October 10th.
