New Questing Systems
Perfect World International's third and largest expansion to date, the "Rising Tide" will be hitting North American shores this December. This expansion is packed full of new content, including a brand new race, the Tideborn, as well as two new classes: the Assassin and the Psychic.
In addition to these two major additions, Perfect World International will also be introducing more content for players to enjoy such as new dungeons, new gear refining systems and new quests. Included in more than 200 new storyline quests, there are also two new quest systems to further expand gameplay: Couples Quests and Public Quests.
Couples Quests
Available to players who are married in-game, PWI is offering two new exclusive quests to uncover: "West Wing Room" and "Poet and Brewer." Both are famous traditional Chinese love stories. Players will be able to participate in these famous Chinese narratives in the form of daily quests, allowing them to accrue both experience and tokens. The tokens can then be used to redeem a variety of prizes, including three unique pets, exclusive to the Couple Quests system.
Public Quests
A "Public Quest" is a quest that players can complete together regardless of whether or not they are associated or partied with one another. For example, you may complete the first mission, but then another player completes part two-the progress of each person will be reflected in total for their quest progress. Different from traditional squad questing, rewards will be distributed with the highest ranked awards going to the players who contributed the most. This incentivizes players not to leech off one another. The contribution level can be based on monster kills, quest items collected, damage inflicted, etc. Rewards are given to players at the end of the quest based on their contribution.
The couples quest system is refreshingly new! Kudos!
