Asherons Call: Possible Fix for "Incorrect Version of AC Installed"

For whatever reason, this particular problem has been popping up a lot lately--a player unable to get in-game because the game says they have an incorrect version of AC installed. Here is a possible fix for that problem:

Step 1: Uninstall MSN Gaming Zone through Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.

Step 2: Find the folder Zone had been installed in (the default is C:Program FilesMSN Gaming Zone), and delete it.

Step 3: Log into AC or go to the Zone website and reinstall the Zone files.

Again, this is only a possible fix, but I've seen it work on a fairly consistent basis. Here's hoping that if you're having the above problem, this will solve it.

Update by tech-guru Optim: Another solution is to manually download the current client and place this file in your Asheron's Call folder. NOTE: We here at WCoD take no responsbility for you screwing things up more then they already are *grin*
