Blizzard Entertainment is an American videogame developer originally named Silicon & Synapse. Its main franchises include Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft, and it runs the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. It also runs Battle.net, an online gaming service launched in 1997, which it uses with its recent games. Blizzard Entertainment has hosted BlizzCon in California, USA since 2005.
