Nintendo GameCube

The Nintendo GameCube is a sixth-generation home console designed to play proprietary game discs similar to a miniDVD. It was the first Nintendo console to use optical discs and it helped popularize the use of a wireless gamepad through support of the WaveBird. It has support for online play and it allows linking to the Game Boy Advance via a proprietary cable. The console internally supports the display of stereoscopic 3D, though the feature was never used in a released game.
